It is hard to figure out what bag size you need for your travel is quite hard a task.
Neither too big nor too small luggage is considered advantageous. Your bag must be fitting in size, to hold all of your belongings that you plan to take along.
The size of your baggage depends on the kind of trip you are making. Business trips usually need you to have some formal clothes and some casual outfits for the evenings. If you are leaving for a place with moderate or warm climate, it means you won’t need a lot of clothes or heavier clothes. A wedding ceremony or other formal event might require you to have day, and evening outfits. Once you know the kind of trip and things you will be taking along, confirm from your airline if they have any limits imposed on weight, size or the pieces you can take along. Confirm this as you want to avoid the extra charges. Don’t take lots of shoes or toiletries, because they are heavier than clothes and will make your baggage overweight. Usually a 22 inches luggage is enough for a long trip, a 24 inches Pullman for a four days tour, 26 inches for a week and a 28 inches Pullman for two weeks. These estimations are for a one individual.
If you are going on a business or any other formal trip then you will need a garment bag. Sometimes, taking along two middle size bags give perfectly fitting space to pack our things, given that it is allowed by the airlines. You might be allowed to take one carry-on bag along with a hand luggage. Hand luggage can be a briefcase, a notebook case, a shoulder bag or tote bag. Generally airlines allow you to carry a bag of 45 linear inches, but do to confirm the carry-on conditions of your airline.
Wheeled duffle bags are also a good choice if you are going on an informal trip, and you can find different sizes of duffel bags. They are spacious and can hold lots of clothes and accessories, and are lightweight at the same time. Wheeled duffel bags are available in 22, 25, 29, 30, 34 and 42 inches. Some of them might cross the limit, 62 inches, set by most of the airlines. To avoid any trouble check your airline’s policies in advance.
Usually things like makeup and toiletries take space and will add unwanted weight to your luggage. It is better to pack your footwear in carry-on baggage, leaving you with more space for your clothes. Try your best to be well-organized and pack a reasonable number of things to take on your journey. Choose things according to a color scheme that allows you to mix and match your footwear and accessories etc with a variety of dresses. Choose and pack smartly while packing for your trip, and you will face no trouble on any occasion. |
